One of my other favorite shows growing up was Star Trek; the original series. I ait up just about everything that was available on that show.
I even made a small cardboard model of a federation style ship when I was around 9;
My vision was to make the set of the enterprise as it existed in the Desilu studios. Of course with the bridge connected to the hallways via a turbolift and if there was room, the shuttlecraft hanger deck.
Turns out QERadient wasn't up to the job. The bridge is a 10 sided object, most of the sides being the bridge consoles. So I would make one console, copy, then paste it, cut 18 degrees off of each corner, rotate 36 degrees and join them. QERadient just didn't do the rotaions very exactly. It also "projected" the textures on the surface real funny, so I took this opportunity over the Christmas holiday of 2005 to learn the Quark editor.
The map is quite playable, and didn't expand to enormous size. Weighing in at just over 3 megs.
It has every weapon, functional transporters for the "dangerous" operation of intra-ship beaming. A non-canonical force-field in the shuttle bay which shouldn't be breached, else you'll get sucked out into space and turned into chunky salsa!
